Peavey launches a complete range of 5 preamp pedals, inspired by its amps

Peavey, the renowned audio equipment and amp manufacturer, recently unveiled a new series of 5 guitar preamp pedals at NAMM 2025. This collection pays homage to some of the brand’s most iconic amplifiers, offering guitarists the chance to integrate these legendary sounds directly into their setup.

Bandit Supreme Teal Stripe Pedal

Preamp Peavey Bandit Supreme Teal Stripe Pedal

This pedal is a faithful recreation of the lead channel of the famous Peavey Bandit 112 Teal Stripe and Supreme 160. These amps, used particularly in the ’90s, were renowned for their saturated rock and metal sound, with a strong midrange presence.

This pedal features an internal bipolar power supply, i.e. it uses a power architecture that reproduces the behavior of a transistor amp, offering enhanced dynamic response.

A word about controls:
Bottom: adjusts the low frequencies.
Body: shapes the midrange.
Edge: adds brightness and clarity to the treble.
Post: controls the output volume.
Supersat: manages the amount of saturation applied to the signal.
Gain: activates a higher distortion level.
Mid Shift: modifies the midrange response to sculpt the sound.

This pedal is ideal for guitarists seeking a vintage rock and hard rock sound with enhanced dynamics.

Decade Pedal

Preamp Peavey decade

Based on the Peavey Decade amp from the ’80s, this pedal recreates a sound that has become cult. The original amp was a small transistor combo which, despite its modest size, was used in the studio by legends such as Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) for its unique, aggressive grain.

It offers a faithful reproduction of the original circuit, providing an aggressive overdrive/crunch sound. It uses a 24V internal power supply, for improved dynamics and more organic saturation.

Classic controls inspired by the original amp:
Pre Gain and Post Gain: manage input and output levels to sculpt saturation.
3-band EQ (Low, Mid, High): fine-tune the sound spectrum.
Footswitch Saturation: activate a richer, thicker distortion, reminiscent of fuzz and stoner rock sounds.

Perfect for guitarists looking for a dirty, vintage, garage-rock feel, this pedal captures all the raw power of the Decade amp.

Rock Master Preamp Pedal

The Rock Master Preamp was a legendary tube rack preamp of the ’90s, prized for its Ultra channel offering a precise, cutting-edge high-gain sound. Peavey has recreated it in pedal format, using a High Voltage TransTube power supply, an in-house technology that mimics the behavior of tubes, their dynamic response and the natural saturation they offer.

Advanced tone controls:
Bottom, Body, Edge: sculpt the sound with precision.
Pre Gain and Post Gain: adjust distortion and output levels.
Switch Mid Shift: modify the midrange for a sharper, more defined sound.

Bypass and Gain footswitches:
Bypass: deactivates the pedal while maintaining a pure signal.
Gain: activates an additional boost for even more saturation.

This pedal is ideal for metal, hard rock and shred guitarists seeking a sharp, articulate sound.

Session-LTD 400 Preamp Pedal

Inspired by the 1974 Session/LTD 400, this pedal is a treasure trove for lovers of clean tones. The original amp was much appreciated by country and jazz guitarists for its transparency and precision.

Precise tone controls:
Bass, Treble, Middle, Presence: fine-tune the sound to suit different styles.
Shift: adjusts the midrange for greater presence in the mix.
Volume and Sensitivity (input gain): manage dynamics and output level.
Hard Bypass footswitch with anti-click circuit, for an ultra-transparent signal when deactivated.

Perfect for those seeking a clear, warm and defined sound, ideal for jazz, country and ambient.

VTM Preamp Pedal

The VTM 60/120, released in 1987, was a tube amp renowned for its massive, rough sound, favored by artists such as Kim Thayil (Soundgarden) and Al Pitrelli (Megadeth). This pedal is a faithful reproduction, incorporating the famous gain-modifying DIP-switches that allowed guitarists to adjust their sound in the manner of an amp modifier.

High Voltage TransTube technology simulates the saturation of a tube amp. The pedal features a complete system of equalization controls : Low, Mid, High, Pre and Post Gain.

It also has a number of specific settings:
Gain1, Gain2: add different forms of distortion.
Comp: adjusts compression for more or less sustain.
Low1, Low2, Mid, High1, High2: allow precise frequency sculpting.
Hard Bypass footswitch with anti-click circuit.

This pedal is a riff machine, perfect for grunge, stoner and 90s hard rock.
