The new Octaurus from Jam Pedals has arrived, and it’s already sold out!

The world of guitar pedals is constantly being enriched by unique and innovative creations, and the latest nugget to join this collection is the “Octaurus Ltd” from Jam Pedals. This limited edition, whose first two batches have already been snapped up, promises to be a must-have for vintage sound lovers.

Jam Pedals octafuzz pedal limited edition

The dazzling success of the Octaurus Ltd is hardly surprising, given its exceptional pedigree. Inspired by the legendary Octafuzz, this pedal doesn’t seek to emulate, but to build something new on this rich lineage , while asserting its place among the finest examples of the genre. The creative process involved identifying the behavioral attributes of history-making pedals, scattered throughout many legendary octafuzzes of the past, and bringing them together in a single pedal.

The detailed point-to-point construction around NOS silicon transistors from the early ’60s, manufactured by Transitron or General Instrument (similar to the 2N335/336), gives the Octaurus Ltd a unique tonal character. Wrapped in an olive-green suede case with a zipper, underneath a transparent plate, leaving safe and easy visual access to the beautifully arranged card inside. Note that all Octaurus limited editions come with an additional aluminum bottom plate for mounting on boards.
