New Donner Triple Threat pedal in collaboration with Third Man Records

The Donner Triple Threat, the result of a collaboration between Donner and Third Man Hardware, presents itself as a 3-in-1 analog effects pedal. This creation is the result of an initiative by Jack White, leader of the White Stripes and founder of Third Man Records, who was impressed by the quality and versatility of Donner’s Alpha Series pedals, launched in 2017. Thus was born the Triple Threat, an affordable pedal designed specifically for beginning guitarists by Third Man Hardware.

The genesis of the Triple Threat

Jack White shares his enthusiasm:“It had long been in my plans to create an affordable pedal for beginning musicians.” He explains to Donner why he wanted to design a pedal like the Triple Threat:“When I approached Donner, they knew what I was looking for, and we were able to create something very cool that also wasn’t going to ruin a beginning musician’s budget.”

3 effects in 1!

  • Distortion: Tone, gain and volume controls for a menacing rock sound.
  • Phaser: Depth, rate and level controls for extended modulation.
  • Echo: Time, feedback and level controls for a warm analog echo.

Design by Third Man Hardware!

Third Man Hardware took charge of the Triple Threat’s external design, adding distinctive motifs such as Tesla Tower-inspired lightning bolts, three vivid stripes on the front panel and the characteristic diagrams of the Third Man Hardware logo on the sides of the pedal.
