New PARIS from PFX Circuits, a germanium preamp just the way we like it!

A germanium preamp with AOP Discreet technology

The PARIS is a germanium preamp built around a discrete, in-house-made operational amplifier (AOP). This unique component is built around two JFET transistors and a NOS Germanium transistor from 1969, bringing incomparable warmth and liveliness to your sound. This technology boosts your gain, attack, treble and bass, while bringing a warm, lively coloration to your playing.

An asymmetrical clipping circuit

In addition to its discrete AOP, the PARIS incorporates an asymmetrical soft clipping circuit, similar to that used in the JULIUS pedal from the same brand. This circuit includes a NOS diode, contributing to a light, tube-like saturation, ideal for guitarists seeking an organic, dynamic sound.

Versatile settings for perfect control of your sound

The PARIS is equipped with Bass and Treble controls, allowing you to sculpt your sound to suit your needs. Whether you want to use the PARIS as a treble booster, bass booster, clean boost or overdrive, these settings give you maximum flexibility. Gain and Volume knobs add even more possibilities, allowing you to push your sound to rich, colorful saturation.

PFX Circuits has also made a point of minimizing background noise, despite the use of Germanium transistors. So you can fully enjoy the nuances of your sound, without being disturbed by unwanted interference.

The PARIS circuit is based on that of PFX Circuits’ famous SILVERFACE, but with notable improvements thanks to the use of discrete PDO. This marriage of tradition and innovation gives the PARIS a unique sonic identity, while remaining true to the spirit of the brand.
