New Brothers AM, a collaboration between Chase Bliss and Analog Man, offers a modern and enriched version of the King Of Tone.

With the release of the Brothers AM, Chase Bliss and Analog Man deliver an overdrive pedal designed as a direct homage to the legendary King of Tone… but revised with Chase Bliss’ cutting-edge technological know-how. The result is an incredibly complete tool for sound expression, designed for the most demanding guitarists.

An enriched and improved King of Tone

The King of Tone is a Holy Grail for many musicians. Handcrafted by Mike Piera (aka Analog Man) since the ’90s, this cult pedal is renowned for its transparency and organic grain. But it’s also infamous for its lack of availability and interminable order lead times.

The Brothers AM doesn’t just reproduce this mythical circuit: it enriches it and propels it into a new era. Chase Bliss worked hand-in-hand with Analog Man to create an enhanced, fully controllable version of this coveted saturation.

2 channels, 3 voices each: an infinite palette

At the heart of the Brothers AM are 2 identical circuits, each offering three modes: Boost, Overdrive and Distortion. They can be stacked, chained or used independently, depending on the desired order or mix.

Each channel has 3 pots: Gain, Tone and Volume. The tone control also acts on presence, providing welcome flexibility for sculpting high frequencies. And with a second volume control configurable as master volume, the overall balance remains controllable in all circumstances.

Hidden settings, bonus treble booster and 4 internal presets

True to the Chase Bliss approach, the Brothers AM incorporates hidden functions accessible via DIP switches on the rear of the pedal. Among these bonuses is a Treble Booster circuit inspired by the Beano Boost (another cult Analog Man creation), perfect for making a clean amp roar, or adding bite to a crunch sound.

Users can also save up to 4 internal presets, with the option of managing a further 122 via MIDI. So you can go from light blues to incisive lead with a simple footswitch.

Intuitive and ultra-customizable

Despite its countless possibilities, the Brothers AM remains an intuitive pedal to use. It’s just as much for musicians looking for an overdrive that always sounds just right, as it is for tinkerers seeking total control over their signal. Every aspect of the pedal can be adjusted, modified, remotely controlled… or simply ignored to enjoy its natural musicality.
