Mooer presents a duo of pedals in its X2 range: Tender Octaver and Harmony

Mooer Audio, the renowned innovator of guitar pedals, continues to push the boundaries with its two latest creations: the Harmony X2 and the Tender Octaver X2. These two pedals, recently unveiled ahead of NAMM 2024, are in line with the Mooer philosophy of ease of use and intuitive design.

The Tender Octaver X2

The Tender Octaver X2 is Mooer’s third octave pedal, surpassing the success of the Pure and Purer models. Unlike its predecessors, the Tender Octaver X2 focuses exclusively on octave shifts, offering two distinct modes for adding underlying and higher frequencies to the guitar signal.

Each octave mode has its own volume and tone color controls, allowing precise adjustment. Independent footswitches with LED indicators offer easy control and the ability to use both effects simultaneously for unique octave combinations. This pedal features up to 14 preset slots and compatibility with Pure and Purer models.

Harmony X2

The Harmony X2 is billed as a “highly specialized and versatile harmonic shift pedal” designed to meet the needs of musicians in the studio and on stage. Featuring 12 chromatic scale pitches, this pedal offers customizable harmonies in both major and minor modes.

Guitarists can choose from 11 harmonic modes, including thirds, fifths, sevenths and octaves, to create custom harmonies. The real innovation lies in the Harmony X2’s ability to produce independent stereo harmonies. Left and right outputs enable the selection of different harmonic intervals, each with its own dedicated volume and distinct tail (sound prolongation after the main note has stopped). With a simple interface, LED indicators and the ability to save presets, the Harmony X2 offers exceptional harmonic versatility.
