Keeley Electronicsa brand of analog effects pedals designed and manufactured in the USA, launches 3 new pedals following 2 of the brand’s previously released pedals (the Noble Screamer (ODR-1 + TS808) and the Muse Driver (AT / RK Modded BD-2)): the Angry Orange, the Blues Disorder and the Super Rodent.
Each of these pedals offers a unique fusion of well-known classic circuits, giving guitarists a multitude of possibilities for sculpting their sound! You’ll be able to mix or match the tone and clipping characteristics of each circuit, offering 4 different possibilities for each pedal.
Angry Orange: a bold fusion of 1978 Japanese Distortion Orange and 1991 Soviet War Fuzz
The Angry Orange offers a bold combination of two iconic pedals: the Japanese Distortion Orange from 1978 and the Soviet War Fuzz from 1991. This pedal lets guitarists explore a wide range of tones, from sharp distortions to velvety fuzz textures.
The Angry Orange’s tone control offers two distinct options: the MF position offers a passive sloping tone control for rounder fuzz tones, while the DS position presents a voiced alternative, better suited to distortion tones. What’s more, the pedal can switch between hard and soft clipping modes, offering unrivalled sonic versatility.
Blues Disorder: a fusion of Marshall’s Blues Breaker and Fulltone’s OCD
The Blues Disorder cleverly combines two legendary pedals: Marshall’s Blues Breaker and Fulltone’s OCD. Thanks to two dedicated switches, guitarists can separate the tone controls and clipping sections of the two circuits, offering four distinct sounds, from soft, warm overdrive to powerful, incisive distortion.
The Blues Disorder’s tone control also offers two unique options: the OC position provides an active midrange boost followed by a high-frequency roll-off, while the BB position offers a more transparent high-frequency filter for a smoother, more dynamic response.
Super Rodent: a combination of Boss’s Super OverDrive and ProCo’s Rat
The Super Rodent pushes the boundaries of creativity by combining Boss’ Super OverDrive and ProCo’s Rat. This unexpected alliance offers guitarists two new hybrid sounds to explore, from the dynamic textures of the Super SD-1 OverDrive to the cutting distortions of the Rat.
The Super Rodent’s tone control offers two distinct options: the RT position offers a passive, tilted tone control that attenuates high frequencies, while the SD position features an active low-pass filter that boosts low and high frequencies for a bolder, more aggressive response.
