Guitarists, no more bending over in the middle of your set to change a setting! An ingenious new solution has arrived to facilitate interaction with your effects pedals: the Knobyfier, a compact accessory designed to manipulate potentiometers without hands.
What is Knobyfier?
The Knobyfier is a patented accessory designed in Poland to respond to a well-known frustration of guitarists: having to stop playing to turn the knobs on their pedals.
Rather than replacing your pedals or adding a complex MIDI solution, this gadget attaches directly to your effect’s potentiometer. Thanks to a small side wheel, it transforms the setting of a conventional pot into a rolling foot control.
The name Knobyfier, a playful contraction of “knob” and “modify”, illustrates the idea: modify your controls without your hands and without interrupting your game.
Installation & compatibility
The Matt Black (New Standard) model is currently available for pre-order. It’s a compact accessory (~26 × 32 × 31 mm) that mounts easily on potentiometers with a standard D-shape axis.
It is already compatible with a wide range of pedals:
- Strymon (blueSky, DIG, Riverside, etc.)
- Boss (SD-1, BD-2, DS-1, Chorus CE-2W, etc.)
- MXR and even some EHX and specific models from other brands.
The accessory is available individually from the official shop, in a range of finishes (Matte Black, Dirty Red, Cobalt Blue). Depending on color, prices range from €26.95 to €29.95.
