Crazy Tube Circuits, the world-renowned effects pedal manufacturer, has just struck hard with the release of their latest innovation: the White Whale V2. This versatile pedal combines authentic spring reverb and analog tremolo to offer guitarists a rich, immersive sound experience, inspired by the tones of American amps from the 60s.
Authentic spring reverb:
The White Whale V2 embeds a set of three reverb springs, offering musicians a range of sonic characteristics from subtle reverberation to denser, extended reflections. The power amplifier powering these springs has been upgraded to offer greater headroom and extended frequency response. With the Dwell control, guitarists can fine-tune the amount of signal sent to the springs, enabling modulation of reverberation intensity, from the softest tones to the most dazzling echoes.
A scalable analog tremolo :
The tremolo section of the White Whale V2 has also undergone a significant upgrade, with the addition of a third harmonic mode, joining the optical and tube bias modes already present. This new harmonic variation offers frequency-based modulation, producing hypnotic and captivating effects. Depth and speed controls allow precise adjustment of tremolo intensity and speed, while the mode selector offers maximum flexibility for exploring different sonic textures.
Flexibility and intuitive control:
One of the most remarkable features of the White Whale V2 is its flexibility of use. The two effects sections are now completely independent, allowing guitarists to choose the order of effects according to their preferences. What’s more, the pedal features separate volume controls for each section, offering total control over the mix of effects and the balance between dry and wet signals.
Featuring a compact, sturdy case, the White Whale V2′ s light green color evokes the surfing spirit of the 60s. With its pedalboard-friendly dimensions, it fits perfectly into any musician’s setup. What’s more, the pedal is equipped with multiple input and output ports, enabling remote control of effects as well as the use of external expression pedals or footswitches for even more intuitive control.
