Fjord Fuzz unveils its latest creation, the Dovre, an innovative pedal that marries the power of a fuzz circuit with the depth of a spring reverb. Inspired by the Norwegian mountain Dovre, from which it takes its name, this model promises a unique sonic journey, both raw and refined.
Minimalist design for maximum efficiency
Fjord Fuzz’s Dovre is distinguished by its simplicity of use: each circuit (fuzz and reverb) is controlled by a single knob. The fuzz, according to the creator, represents the pinnacle of his research, offering exceptional dynamics and a “tonal cleansing” capability similar to that of the most sought-after classic fuzzes. It’s capable of delivering impressive bass compression , while still allowing harmonious cleansing when the guitar’s volume is adjusted.
On the reverb side, a single knob adjusts the resonance length. This spring-loaded reverb circuit is designed for enveloping sound immersion, with clear, natural tone reproduction.
Fuzz and reverb: a creative combination
The Dovre allows its circuits to be used separately or together, each with its own activation switch. This flexibility opens up a varied sonic palette, from punchy leads to saturated shoegaze ambiences, to post-rock textures imbued with mystery and depth. What’s more, the order of the circuits can be adjusted, allowing you to modulate your signal to suit your creative needs.
Retail price: $249, available in 2 colors: completely black or with gold plate.
