ThorpyFX, in collaboration with the famous British store Andertons<\/strong><\/a>has just unveiled a new pedal that promises to delight fans of vintage sounds while offering a nice modern touch: the SIX ZERO Vintage Fuzz Trem<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Created to celebrate Andertons’ 60th<\/strong> anniversary, this pedal is more than just a nod to the 60s. It’s the result of in-depth reflection on what a modern guitar effect<\/strong> could be, while retaining a resolutely vintage soul.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

Inspired by the Tone Bender MKI<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

In homage to the first fuzz pedals of the ’60s, the pedal is inspired by the famous Tone Bender MKI<\/strong>, one of the most iconic fuzz pedals of the era. But rather than using germanium transistors, which are often temperamental and unstable, ThorpyFX has opted for silicon transistors<\/strong>. This technical choice guarantees a sound faithful to the original models, while ensuring greater reliability and stability. <\/p>\n\n

One Fuzz + One tremolo <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The main feature of the SIX ZERO is the combination of a fuzz circuit with a tremolo. <\/strong>This duality enables the creation of rich and varied sonic textures, from slight vintage shudders to more extreme soundscapes.<\/strong> The integrated tremolo is based on a circuit originally designed by Dan Coggins, one of the pioneers of guitar effects. With Depth and Rate controls for tremolo, and Attack and Level for fuzz<\/strong>, this pedal offers impressive sonic versatility, adapting to all playing styles and guitar configurations. <\/p>\n\n

A unique design<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

As with most Thorpy FX pedals, the design of the SIX ZERO is as remarkable as its sound characteristics. The pedal is encased in a black anodized aluminum case, covered in a superb sparkling blue finish, <\/strong>a subtle nod to Andertons’ colors. <\/p>\n\n
